Get Directions to Longview

The Adirondack Park is accessed by several major thruways and smaller connecting state and local highways. The Northway (a northern extension of I-87 that connects Albany, New York to Canada) has won several scenic highway awards and provides easy access to various Adirondack communities from which you can reach recreational facilities and Forest Preserve lands.

From the South:

From Albany, take Rt-87 North, (the Northway), to exit 20. Longview is about 60 minutes from Albany.

•   Take Exit 20 toward RT-149/Fort Ann/Whitehall.

•   Turn left onto US-9/NJ-149. Turn right onto NY-149.

•  Turn left onto Ridge RD/NY-9L.

•  Turn slight right onto Pilot Knob Rd/CR-38.

•  Continue to follow Pilot Knob Rd.

•  End at 1159 Pilot Knob Rd Kattskill Bay, NY 12844.

Below are some Travel/Navigation Notes:

•  The intersection of US-9/NY-149 can be identified by the “Loft” restaurant on the corner of US 9 and NY-149.

•  The left turn onto Ridge Road has a Stewart’s store and a Getty Gas Station at the intersection.

•  Traveling along Ridge Road, if you pass by over a bridge with the lake on your right, you have just passed Pilot Knob Road.

•  When you turn right on Pilot Knob Road, the house is a 6/10th of a mile down on the left. Look for the green mail box with the 1159 beneath it. The driveway and parking for Longview is just beyond the mailbox.

•  The front door/porch is on the left side of the house.
